Phewwww!! I did some research on this so called "Saudi's Second Largest Industrial City" just now. I'm not pretty happy & satisfy with the result, tho....but I'll definitely give another try tomorrow.
It is said that Al Jubail, like other cities in Saudi....very conservative, but since it is an industrial area....many expats are found here, so most women are allowed to shop and walk around freely accompanied by their girl friends whilst the absence of their husbands.
But one thing that brought to my surprise when i read a post from ExpatForum was.....it said that Saudi is "Little America"....woohoo...seriously i have no idea about this!!! For those who plan to stay and work there, should need no worry to pack many stuff. You can get anything you need at the mall. In fact, most of American brand merchandise can be found easily at their shopping mall........wow!! That's cool! All you need is clothes and toiletries (just for few days)..that's it!
For ladies, of course you must cover your body ...in other word "burkha" in public. Hemm...what will happen if Anep asks me to join him there later? Insyaallah, I think it should be no problem for me to put on Abaya, Hijjab, Burkha or whatever they are....seriously I dont mind at all.
Well..maybe it's time for me to put on Hijjab. I'm not going to be younger anyway.....i'm suppose to dress up appropriately...like a proper Muslim suppose to be.
Will continue my research again tomorrow. Hopefully I'll find more useful and latest info on this.
